About Us
Many Stafford Amateur Radio Association (SARA) members and other area hams volunteer to participate in emergency communications (EmComm) support in Stafford County. SARA provides the use of our repeaters, and owns equipment entrusted to us by Stafford County, to support emergency communications. The group supports the county through the Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator. During emergencies, the team runs net control from the Stafford County Emergency Operations Center, or from the Stafford Emergency Management Vehicle (pictured below).
