By LawsMembership in the Stafford Amateur Radio Association, Inc. shall be on a yearly basis beginning on the First day of July and continuing for one year and 30 days until the following Thirtieth day of July. Potential members may make application to the Stafford Amateur Radio Association and accompany their application with the full annual dues at any time. (10/93) A full member in good standing may automatically renew his/her membership by making payment to the Treasurer of the Stafford Amateur Radio Association Inc. of the current dues, no later than the Thirtieth day of July of the year of their membership. (10/93) Past Members may restore their membership in the Stafford Amateur Radio Association Inc. by sending the full annual dues along with an application for membership to the Treasurer of the Stafford Amateur Radio Association Inc. after the thirtieth day of July in the year which their membership expires. (10/93) The Corporation will not use any equipment not owned or leased by the Corporation in any Amateur Radio Station operated by the Corporation. A written agreement must accompany all equipment leased to the Corporation by the owner and the Corporation as to the length of time such equipment is to be used by the Corporation and specify what, if any, any compensation the Corporation will pay for the use of such equipment. (10/97) In the event a member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation fails to maintain their membership in Stafford Amateur Radio Association, they will be removed from the Board when their membership term in the association ends. (10/97) Should a member of the Board resign their status as a Board member, a special meeting of all members of Stafford Amateur Radio Association shall be announced by the Board Chairperson and set in the month following the resignation of a Board member for the purposes of electing a new member of the Board. They shall not hold such meeting if the resignation occurs after August 1. (10/97) Any Full Member of Stafford Amateur Radio Association may be eligible for election to the Board of Directors of the Corporation providing their status as a full member is greater than three months at the time of the Annual General Election. (10/97) The Board will convene in November to designate which board members will perform the duties of President, vice-president, Treasurer and Secretary. Nothing shall preclude a member of the board of assuming any one or more of the traditional designations of Trustee, President, vice-president, Secretary or Treasurer except that the same Board member may not assume both the duties of the Treasurer and Secretary. (10/97) The Stafford Amateur Radio Association member designated as Trustee shall maintain a written record of all Corporation owned, equipment and the location of all Corporation owned equipment. The Board member designated as Treasurer shall maintain all financial records of the Corporation and shall report to the members of the Board monthly the status of all Corporation accounts. The Board shall provide a report of the assets and liabilities of the Corporation to the Stafford Amateur Radio Association membership no less than quarterly. The Board member designated as Secretary shall provide copies of all reports and other information concerning the Corporation, amateur radio and any other matters relating to the Corporation and its membership as may be necessary.
