Welcome!

Thank you for visiting our web page! We are a collection of people in the pursuit of Amateur Radio (otherwise known as "Ham" Radio). We come from every walk of life: Policemen, Firemen, Paramedics, Federal Contractors, Government Employees, Nurses, Students, Mechanics...well, you get the picture. We currently meet at Perkins Restaurant, located on Route 17 at 14 Simpson Ln, Fredericksburg, VA 22406 in Stafford Virginia, just west of I-95 (exit 133B) on the southbound side, every Saturday at 0700. Formal meetings are held about once every quarter at Perkins so that all members can participate. As you journey through this site, you will find that we offer a variety of radio activities. If at any time you have a suggestion or some activity you would like within the association, touch the "contact us" button, record and send your idea. As you venture through this web site, you will find that we have tried to provide you with all the information you will need to help you enjoy your new hobby.

Come Join us!!!                       Breakfast every Saturday Morning 7AM at Perkins               July 9 - K2BSA, the amateur radio station at the 2010 BSA National Jamboree, will be using our 2 meter D-STAR repeater (WS4VA Port C) during the National Jamboree which takes place July 26 to August 4, 2010 at Fort A.P. Hill, Caroline County, Virginia. K2BSA will be using D-STAR radios donated by ICOM, to connect to WS4VA--C, which in turn will be connected to D-STAR Reflector 30 B (REF030B). Scouts and others from all over the world are expected to connect to the reflector to have a chance to chat with the Scouts at the National Jamboree site. Stay tuned for more details.               New SARA Membership Form is ready for use, go to "About" then choose Membership!             We are currently experiencing interference on our 2 Meter repeater (145.270Mhz), our tech team is working the issue and will advise soonest!
